HYARTSTUDIO is founded by artist couple Liu Yang and Qingjun Huang, H and Y each  represents the first letter of their last names.

They both were born in China, moved to the USA in 2022, currently are living in central Illinois.  Huang is internationally recognized for his long-term photography project "Family Stuff",  it has been started from 2003 and still on-going, this project was featured by BBC four times, New York Times, Bloomberg, Wired, Harvard Business Review, ChinaDaily, NatGeo, Guardian...among many others.  ​

Liu Yang's art practice was inspired by Qingjun Huang who did a life-size maternity photogram of her body in 2015, which inspired her to begin the journey of dark room creation. They created many large scale photograms together from 2017 to 2019. .  From 2019 she started to create series independently, DREAM, DREAM INCEPTION, ANOTHER PLANET are the dream-trilogy, the media is photography, but the images were created without camera.  Yang is fascinated by space exploration, many of the works are about cosmos.​​
